Domestic Violence in Maine - Speaking Up Can Help
Speaking up about domestic violence can help those in need of assistance. In most all cases of domestic violence in Maine someone close to the situation knew of the problems and was in a position to help - just by speaking up. An editorial in the Portland Press Herald describes what ordinary people can do when they spot signs of trouble in the lives of friends, family members, or co-workers. See the November 17, 2007 editorial entitled "With domestic violence, speaking up can save a life".
