Maine Correctionsf Commissioner Endorses Consolidation of Maine Jails
The commissioner of the Maine Department of Corrections said that he is searching for a solution to the proposed Maine prison consolidation between the county and state jail systems. He believes that money can be saved over the long-term. County officials have disputed this savings and worry that the state plan will hurt more than it will help.
