Bioterrorism is still a daunting threat to the United States. Since the Anthrax killings in the fall of 2001 the country has taken steps to reduce the likelihood of a bioterrorism event spreading through the nation. A lot of money has been spent and bureaucracies have been built. There have been some successes but much more needs to be done.
