Bioterrorism Preparedness

Bioterrorism is still a daunting threat to the United States. Since the Anthrax killings in the fall of 2001 the country has taken steps to reduce the likelihood of a bioterrorism event spreading through the nation. A lot of money has been spent and bureaucracies have been built. There have been some successes but much more needs to be done. The Washington Post has published an article on this topic (August 3, 2008) - see "Modest Gains Against Ever-Present Bioterrorism Threat". Click here for additional information about bioterrorism.
