Police Use of GPS

The use of Global Positioning Systems (GPS) has skyrocketed dramatically over the past few years. What started out as a military application for guidance systems has turned into an extremely useful tool for hikers, hunters, and drivers. It also has been put into use by various police departments across the country. Police departments are placing GPS devices on suspects vehicles and tracking their movements in order to help out in their investigations.
