Summer Camp in Maine for Military Children
Children of Maine National Guard members participate in "Operation Military Kids" every summer. Each summer almost two hundred children get to go to a camp and meet other children whose parents serve in the Maine National Guard. The purpose of the camp is to help kids cope with the long absences of their parents when they serve overseas for extended periods of time with the military.
