Terrorism and Our Schools

Terrorism has been a large focus in our lives since 9/11. For some security professionals it has been a constant for many years prior to that. However, 9/11 brought it "home" for the American public. We are vulnerable in so many areas as it is impossible to protect everything. One such vulnerable area is our schools and our children that attend these institutions. A career Army officer who works as an assistant professor of military science at the University of Maine's ROTC program has wrote a guest column on terrorism and schools as a possible target. Read "The newest target of al-Qaidi: our nation's schools", The Bangor Daily News, September 5, 2008. Visit our web page for more information on Campus and School Safety and Security.
