Bad Economy in Maine and Crime

The Bangor, Maine Police Chief has said that a bad economy can contribute to a rise in crime. Bangor, Maine has experienced a 22% increase in crime in the last year. Some individuals are attributing that one-year rise in crime to the first full year of operation of Hollywood Slots. Others say that it could be related to the drug trade.
