Women in Law Enforcement Conference - Portland, Maine

The National Center for Women & Policing is presenting a conference in Portland, Maine on Tuesday and Wednesday (October 21 and 22, 2008).
"This year's conference will focus on The Leadership and Workplace Issues for Women in Law Enforcement. Come hear about the latest research on women and pregnancy; what departments need to do to be more progressive in this area; police officer domestic violence and the response; dual professions; job share-does it work; and what is mass career customization and why aren't police departments doing more of it. Topics will address best practices and the conference will produce a report highlighting specific recommendations."
