Augusta, Maine May Switch Dispatch Centers

Augusta, ME may be switching dispatch centers for 911 calls. Augusta may drop out of the Central Maine Regional Communications Center and join up with the Somerset County Communications Center for 911 calls. The primary reason for the switch would be cost savings. Central Maine Regional Communications Center has had complaints filed against it about its responsiveness and service.
