Gray and New Gloucester, Maine: No Local Police
The towns of Gray and New Gloucester, Maine have recently come under fire for not funding their own local police departments. They rely instead on the services of the Maine State Police. Recently these two towns have come under attack for not funding local police services. The taxpayers of these two communities consistently refuse to fund police services. It took the tragic death of a teenager in a traffic accident and an honest Maine State Police Trooper - Sgt. Michael Edes - to bring this situation to light.
