TASER to Be Bought for Bangor Hospital

It appears that a Bangor hospital is considering the employment of Tasers in its emergency room. Eastern Maine Medical Center (EMMC) is proposing a $1,000 grant to the Bangor Police Department so that it can maintain a Taser in its emergency room. A police officer works in the emergency room every evening and he will have it on his person during those hours. When the police officer is not on duty then the Taser will be secured at the hospital.
