Tragedy Assistance Program for Families of Fallen Contractors

Since 9/11 the number of civilian contractors on the battlefield has grown tremendously. These civilians, many of them former or retired servicemen, perform a variety of vital functions in the logistics, transportation, support, training, and security fields for our forward deployed military in Afghanistan, Iraq, Africa and around the world. Many of these civilian contract employees are working for some well-known firms such as KBR, Haliburton, Blackwater, Triple Canopy, and DynCorp. Inevitably some of these contractors lose their life while serving their country. An organization called Tragedy Assistance Program for Suvivors (TAPS) has been formed to assist those contractor families and loved ones. The TAPS organization is looking for volunteers to assist and also financial donations. A good cause.
