Cargo Sentries of CBP Monitor Ship Cargos Entering US Seaports

The Customs and Border Protection field offices are responsible for monitoring cargo entering the U.S. seaports. Unfortunately, due to the sheer volume of cargo containers, they can only inspect a fraction of the containers each day. The CBP has a method of determining which cargo containers they will inspect - based on country of origin and other factors.
