Editorial on Afghanistan by Maine Columnist
A columnist for the Morning Sentinel has wrote an article about what our involvement in Afghanistan should be in the future. He advocates not trying to establish a central, democratic government in Afghanistan stating that it probably would not happen despite years of money being spent and lives being lost. He does suggest the presence of U.S. bases in secure areas of Afghanistan as a method of projecting power in Afghanistan and the surrounding geographic area.
