Gun Ownership in Maine: The Debate Continues

The Bangor Daily News is running a special five-part series on the topic of guns in the state of Maine. They will be exploring the issues of ownership, guns and recreation, hunting, crime and the law. In a supposedly even-handed method the newspaper will present arguments from both sides of society. Those hunters, target-shooters, and gun collectors who want to keep their guns and those who think that guns have no place in modern Maine society (and perhaps some of the views that are moderated by common sense). The aspects of firearms training and regulations will also be explored. The first article is called "In a well armed state, there's concern and debate" published on November 14, 2009.
