Maine State Senate to Vote on Traffic Surveillance Cameras - LD 1561

The Maine State Senate will be voting on a bill about traffic surveillance cameras.  Talks have been taking place with State legislators, various police departments and the Maine Civil Liberties Union to make revisions to the bill so it is effective from a policing standpoint but does not violate privacy (too much).  The bill is entitled LD 1561 - an Act to Regulate the Use of Traffic Surveillance Cameras.  Read more in "State Senate to Vote on Traffice Surveillance Cameras", WMTW.com, March 12, 2010.
