Controversy Erupts about 35,000 Body Scanner Images Saved by Dept of Justice

Security officials are stating that they will NEVER save the scanned images from full-body scanners when you go through security checkpoints. Well . . . . almost never.  Read more in "New uproar over security scanners after agency acknowledges storing images", LA Times, August 9, 2010.

If the company stated they would not store the data, why are they storing it? Thankfully those using private jet charter companies do not have to worry about body scanners just yet.
