Brunswick Naval Air Station Security to Lighten Up - As Navy Leaves Maine; Civilians Take Over

"BRUNSWICK, Maine (NEWS CENTER) -- Security at the Brunswick Naval Air Station has been loosened as part of the base closure and redevelopment process. The Navy says you can get on the base from 6:00am to 6:00pm Monday through Friday simply by showing your license. Under the old rules you would have needed a military id or an escort to move around the base.  Members of the community are encouraged to come and use the recreational and green spaces. There are several ball fields, tennis courts, basketball hoops and playgrounds."
