Physical Restraint or Therapeutic Crisis Intervention in Maine Classrooms?
A recent news article reported on three-day training courses for Portland, Maine educators on the topic of "Therapeutic Crisis Intervention". Portland, Maine educators are trying to reduce the instances of physical restraint of students in the school system and it is hoped that the training seminars will help accomplish that goal by giving teachers "skill sets in their toolbox to de-escalate disruptive situations".
