Is the TSA out of control?

The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) has come under fire lately - primarily because of its intrusive full-body-scan imaging machines and very aggressive personal searches with its "hands on" TSA security personnel.  Read a very disturbing story in "TSA Makes Cancer Victim Remove Prosthetic Breast", CBS News, November 19, 2010.

I believe that the TSA is abusing its power and violating the 4th Amendment.

A friend of mine who travels frequently asked why we aren't utilizing bomb-sniffing dogs. This would establish probable cause for a search if one is necessary and save us hundreds of thousands of dollars on expensive equipment.

Something tells me, there aren't enough kickbacks to make that work.

I am sure money can be saved by using dogs. Speaking of money USA Today did an article on how much money the full-body scanner industry has sunk into the effort through lobby representatives.
