Maine Jetport to Get Body Scanners to Screen Air Travel Passengers

"PORTLAND – The latest generation of sophisticated weapon detectors is coming to the Portland International Jetport. The machines generate a generic image of passengers’ bodies on a digital display and flag potential threats, which show up as yellow boxes. Passengers must empty their pockets before walking inside the “imaging portals,” which are a bit bigger than typical metal detectors."
